In the unconditional love of Jesus, we find not only salvation but also transformation, as we contemplate the truth that we are both fully known and fully loved by Him. As a result, we can be set free from the burden of guilt and shame for our sin, and can find a passion for both obeying Him and sharing Him with others.

The birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Son of God, and he came to save his people from their sins.

Some disciples of John the Baptist asked him what he thought about people going to be baptized by Jesus. There is always a danger of comparison and competition among God's people. John told them that Jesus must increase, and he must decrease.

Nicodemus meets with Jesus in the night to have a conversation. Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again. But what does that mean? The Holy Spirit reveals to us what it means to be born again in the Word of God.

Jonah 4 - A Tale of Two Hearts
We see a profound contrast between the heart of Jonah and the heart of God. Jonah wanted mercy for himself, but judgment for those he did not like. While it is sometimes tempting to think like Jonah, as followers of Jesus we need to have His heart of compassion for the lost.
Jonah 3 - The God of Second Chances
The Word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time. This time Jonah went to Nineveh to proclaim God's message. The people of Nineveh humbled themselves and repented, and so the Lord relented from his judgement. Our God is the God of second chances.
