Our Story

Calvary Chapel Palos Verdes is one of many Calvary Chapel churches worldwide. The Calvary Chapel movement began in the 1965 right here in Southern California and played a key role in what is known as The Jesus Movement. Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara, our sending church, began in 1978. We come from a rich heritage of Jesus loving, Bible teaching, and Spirit filled ministries. We are looking forward to seeing what God will accomplish through this church plant here in Palos Verdes, California.

Life On The Hill, a church that faithfully gathered for 10 years in Palos Verdes, prayerfully decided to join in the effort of planting Calvary Chapel Palos Verdes. Through God’s prompting and in his timing, Calvary Chapel Palos Verdes officially started services on September 27, 2020. Please read more about how God brought us together in our elder statement.
